Iowans in the USTF Indoor Championships

The USA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico this weekend and there are a number of athletes with Iowa ties entered in the meet.

Those with Iowa ties are:

  • Tyler Mulder, 800M-Unity Christian/UNI: NCAA Champion at UNI.  4th in Olympic Trials.
  • Erik Sowinski, 800M-University of Iowa:  Big 10 Champion. NCAA Runner-up.  Recently set a new American Indoor Record in the 600M.
  • Jeffery Herron, High Jump-University of Iowa:  All American; Iowa school record holder.
  • AG Kruger, Weight Throw-Sheldon/Morningside:   3X Olympian in Hammer Throw. US Indoor defending champion.
  • Daniel Gooris, Heptathlon-UNI: MVC Champion and All American at UNI.
  • Bethany Praska, 800M-University of Iowa:  Big 10 Champion, All American.  5th in this meet in 2012.
  • Lisa Koll Uhl, 3,000M-Ft. Dodge/ISU: 3X NCAA Champion.  American Collegiate Record Holder in 10k. 2012 US Olympian in 10K.  Finished 13th in London with PR 31:12.80
  • Hayli Bozarth, Shot Put and Weight Throw-ISU: 5th in Weight Throw at Big 12 Indoor meet
  • and 7th in Shot Put.
  • Christina Hillman, Shot Put-ISU: 2nd in Big 12 Indoor with new school record throw: 57’ 9 ½”.  2012 US Jr Champ and placed 4th at World Junior Championships.
  • Lindsay Lettow, DM Christian/Central Missouri: D-2 National Champion in Pentathlon and Heptathlon.  8th at Olympic Trials in Heptahlon.
