Grand View Will Represent!

Two more Vikings will represent Grand View at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships February 28- March 2 in Geneva, Ohio.

  • Junior Bryce Adger (Carrollton, Texas) and senior Cy Williams (Clarinda, Iowa) hit national qualifying marks at the Wartburg Triangular this weekend.
  • Adger managed to set a conference-leading mark in both the heptathlon and the pole vault (4.15m).  His national qualifying score of 4,583 in the heptathlon at the time was sixth in the NAIA .
  • Senior Cy Williams (Clarinda, Iowa) hit an NAIA ‘B’ standard mark in the weight throw with a toss of 16.61m.
  • Other highlights included junior Wes Hammer (Lewisville, Texas) running a conference-leading time in the 200m dash (22.67) and qualifying for the finals in the 60m dash.


On the women’s side…

  • Senior Allie McFayden (Omaha, Neb.) ran a conference-leading time and PR in her fourth place finish in the mile (5:24.59). She also ran a leg on both the 4x200m and 4x400m relays teams that placed fourth.

The Viking men and women will compete this Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Dennis Young Classic in Storm Lake. Events begin at 9 a.m
