Weekend Results!

Sam Read-Marion

Sam Read, Marion and Bennet Moser, Wapello, paced the Warturg Knights to a 4th place finish at their own Dan Huston Invitational.  Augustana, South Dakota, rated 6th in D-II, went 1-7 to win the title.  The Vikings top 4 runners, which included Storm Lake St. Mary’s Paul Yak, crossed the finish line together in 24:58. Fourteen complete teams took part in the Briar Cliff Invitational at McCook Lake in South Dakota.   A large contingent of former Iowa preps, representing a number of collegiate teams, took part in the competition .  On the women’s side, Lauren Opp, Garner Hayfield, was the highest finishing Iowa native.  Opp’s fifth place finish led the Dordt women to second overall.
In the men’s 8k race, Taylor Chapman, Spencer, was also fifth, pacing Morningside to a runner-up finish as well; Complete results CLICK HERE 
The NW Missouri State men traveled to Fort Hays, Kansas and came with away with the team title in the 10 team Ft. Hayes Invitational.  Kit Anderson, Norwalk and Jared Walker, Mt. Pleasant are varsity runners for the Bearcats. For results CLICK HERE
The Dubuque University harriers finished 4th (women) and 6th (men) at Wisconsin Lutheran’s Warrior Invitational over the weekend. Complete results CLICK HERE  

Marina Ramirez_Columbus Community-Grace College

The Grace College Women of Winona Lake, Indiana finished 3rd in the Inidana Wesleyan Invitational.  Marina Ramierz, Columbus Community, is a sophomore on the Lancer’s squad.

There were 5 Iowa colleges in the nine team field at the St. Ambrose Invitational.   Iowa preps fared very well in the tough competition.
In the Women’s race, Jasmine Nielsen, Denver-Tripoli, was the top native Iowa finisher, leading Grand View to a 4th place team finish by coming in 10th.  In the Men’s race, Bryant Rader, CR Washington, led Mt. Mercy to 3rd place with his 9th place finish.

Kyle Stocker, CR Prairie, led Missouri S&T with his 9th place finish in the Jackling Jock Invitational on the S&T Golf Course in Rolla, Missouri.  The Miner’s were 4th in the 9 team field.
In the Women’s race, Allie Wood, WDM Valley, was S&T’s number four finisher in 44th overall.  The Lady Miners were 7th of nine in the team race.
