Ranegar clocked a time of 13:45, while Schrulle crossed the line in 13:47. Senior Nicole Benson (27th; 13:52) and freshman Lisa Gordon (69th; 14:17) rounded out the scoring for the Hawkeyes.

“This was a solid step forward against six nationally ranked teams,” said head women’s cross country coach Layne Anderson. “It’s a clear indicator that this group has the potential to enjoy a successful year.”
