Diane Nukuri Johnson, originally from Burundi, ran track for Coach Layne Anderson at the University Iowa  finished 31st in today’s Women’s Olympic Marathon in a time of 2:30.13.  Diane spent much of her post collegiate time training in Iowa City along side Betsy Flood and the other Iowa Women.  This past June Diane won the Dam to Dam 20k, shattering the course record.  Diane is a beautiful and dignified lady who has been such a great leader and example for many.  Her time today set a all time women’s record in her Native country of Burundi.  Congratulations Diane
