A Final Word From Our Olympian Miranda Leek

I proudly represented my country in the Olympic Games. Am I bringing home an Olympic medal? No, not this time. However, I shot my heart out in that stadium and gave all I had to offer. I did have success here, including shooting just 2 points under my personal best in the ranking round, shooting on a team that qualified 2nd here, winning my first individual match with some amazing shooting, and I continued to shoot the best that I could in my last match.

My first arrow that I shot in front of the crowd and the last arrow that I shot in front of the crowd were both solid 10’s. I have learned so much from this experience, and I am here to tell you that it has made me a stronger person and a stronger archer, and I will be back on this stage in the future. The world has yet to see the best that I have to offer! Participating in the Olympic Games is a bigger honor and privilege than I can describe, and I am so thankful for this experience. I’ve learned so much; the medals will come in due time.
